The Classics Reimagined

The Maine Illustrators' Collective Revisit Your Favorite Stories!

Date: November 2nd to 27th

Reception: Saturday, November 7th, 12-3pm

Place: Freeport Memorial Library, 10 Library Drive, Freeport, ME 04032-1422

The Maine Illustrators’ Collective takes on the Classics; from Jane Eyre to Alice in Wonderland!

Many of the participating MEIC illustrators are well-known professional illustrators with careers spanning several decades of professional work in print; including children's books, newspapers and magazines. These beautiful interpretations of ageless classic books, in colorful styles that range from painterly to contemporary will be on display and for sale in original and print form at the Freeport Community Library throughout November.

The Maine Illustrators' Collective (MEIC) is a non-profit collective of professional illustrators and designers meeting in Portland to brain storm, critique new work, give support, share ideas, and offer advice on promoting each other's work. We also organize events, talks and shows. You can find more information about the MEIC on: www.maineillustratorscollective.org
