Jean Twomey writes and illustrates children's literature.
Jean works in various media including gouache, acrylic, ink, collage and photography. By day, she enjoys working with Portland's growing international community as a scheduler and interpreter for Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigration Services.
Jean has taught in various venues and age levels, always looking for a way to combine her love of art, language and the outdoors. And as a member of SCBWI New England, Jean has helped coordinate the Poster Showcase Contest for the past two years. Currently, she is working on picture books and young adult literature.
