Good News Story - November 5, 2010
In the summer of 2010 the Natick Technical Publications Team began an all volunteer project of writing and illustrating the Healing Heroes Activity Book, a publication specifically targeted for the Wounded Warrior Program whose care packages are supported by Natick Soldier Systems Center (NSSC). As the creativity expanded, the notion that more Organizations would also benefit from this varied compilation of devoted ideas. The book is made up of activities and stories with some military/patriotic themes and some whimsical themes, but the underlying theme to the entire activity book is to help the healing and recovery process. The Activity Book will also be reviewed by the Veterans Administration’s National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder <http://www.ptsd.va.gov>. The center’s plan is to possibility incorporate the activity book into their educational materials.
