This time, for the “Winter Show” at the Freeport Community Library, I’ve entered two pieces, one cute and small with a squirrel reading a book before hibernating, and one cartoon-like called “Craving Summer” about grilling in the dead of winter. The squirrel one is circular, perfect to be reused as an ornament or a t-shirt, and geared towards the children’s book market. The other one is more like a New Yorker cover format (one can always dream), and it’s a memory of having just moved to Maine from Brooklyn and being amazed at our friends’ williness to grill us a delicious dinner in crazy cold weather!
