When I think of Winter I think of long dark nights filled with moon and stars, and crisp cold days filled with the simple gifts of good friends, joyous music, and reading by a roaring fire. The two original illustrations I have included in the MEIC group show are my seasonal card designs. One is my Winter Solstice design, celebrating the silvery light of the full moon on the longest night of the year. The second illustration was inspired by the lyrics of the Shaker song "Simple Gifts."
