The last sketch and critique meeting.

Hello everyone,

The last sketch and critique meeting was a great success. Besides MEIC members Joel Rivers and Wouter Bruneel, we were graced with the presence of Mike Libby, Elise Smorczewski and some of her fellow MECA students. There was a very constructive discussion about the ins and outs of the illustration business and we reviewed each others work. An inspiring and fun meeting.

Hello everyone,

Let's have another sketch and critique meeting. Everyone's welcome to draw or bring stuff to talk about. Saturday the 26th of June at the Portland Public Market (second floor). They have a bakery there and a coffee shop. We'll start at 2 p.m.

First Friday

It was great fun to see all the folks at the opening at the Green Hand!

Proprietor Michelle Souliere, of Strange Maine fame, chatted about anachronisms with Ben Dixon, MEIC member and chief gearhead.

Wouter Bruneel contributed art for the Steampunk Chronicles and still finds time to do Sketch Crawl.

Maine College of Art illustration student, Elise Smorczewski, arrived in fine style, and exhibited an illustrated invention to boot.

Two fanatic groupies of Big Foot, Leticia Plate and Jamie Hogan, share the limelight.

Everyone, share more photos and art, while the Green Hand hosts our work! thanks to the Green Hand!
